Sometimes a simple reboot can help you resolve the issue, but if that does not help, try these suggestions.

1] Temporarily disable antivirus

Disable the antivirus program on the computer and check if that solved the problem. Note: You cannot keep your antivirus deactivated. Whether or not this solves the problem, you must enable the antivirus program back.

2] Third-party app trouble

A third-party software or app could be the reason behind this error. In order to rule out this possibility, try booting in clean boot state. This is how: 1] Log on to the device with administrator rights. 2] Press Win + R to open the Run windows and type ‘msconfig.exe’ and press ‘ENTER’ to access System Configuration Utility. 3] If the system asks for admin password, feed in the password and click ‘OK’ or ‘Continue’. 4] Find ‘Selective Startup’ in the ‘General’ tab and click it. 5] Uncheck the ‘Load startup items’ checkbox and click on Apply to save the settings. 6] Now go to the ‘Services’ tab and select the ‘Hide all Microsoft services’ checkbox. 7] You will see the ‘Disable all’ option. Click it and then click ‘OK’. This disables all “non-Microsoft” services on the system. 8] Restart your device. Create a restore point and check if the problem persists. Here is how to do it in case you didn’t know: 1] Go to System Configuration from ‘Start’ menu. 2] Go to the ‘General’ tab and click ‘Normal Startup. 3] Now go to the ‘Services’ tab and clear the ‘Hide all Microsoft services’ checkbox. 4] Find and click ‘Enable all’ and confirm if prompted. 5] Now go to Task Manager and enable all startup programs and confirm the action. Restart the device when prompted.

3] Remove all restore points & Restart Volume Shadow Copy Service
